Genesis at Work Foundation is dedicated to helping families caring for those with special needs. By helping these individuals find meaningful work in an inclusive environment, Genesis at Work hopes that those they assist and their families will experience greater meaning, purpose, and hope in their lives. Its mission is to find meaningful work for God’s children with special needs, enriching lives and businesses. All services are provided at no cost to the job seekers and their families. The foundation serves all faiths and people with no faith. This local Cincinnati non-profit that does not currently get government funding, so they rely mostly on donations and strategic partnerships to further their vision.

Research from the 2022 Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services indicated that among persons with special needs, approximately 1,450 people in Hamilton County reported that they “want a job and need help.” Additionally, there were 1,850 students with special needs transitioning out of Cincinnati public high schools who were seeking meaningful work.

“There is a need for qualified employment agencies in Hamilton County to provide individualized support for people with disabilities who want a job and need support. Genesis at Work is well-positioned to locate and secure meaningful work for individuals with barriers to employment using the extensive network of businesses in its Inclusive Employers Program. We look forward to being a resource to the Genesis at Work team to help address this need in our community,” says Nathan Beck, Transition and Employment Navigation Supervisor at Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services.

Courtney Snow
I was born in New York and lived in several states before settling down in my favorite city of all time - Cincinnati! I have an interracial family that consists of my amazing and talented husband (Derek) and our beautiful, silly daughter (Adilyn {2009}). I work full-time in Human Resources in addition to owning the Cincinnati, Dayton, & Louisville Mom Collectives, write and illustrate children's books (search "Courtney Jayne Snow" on Amazon), love to volunteer, and am a registered and certified nutritional consultant (RNC/CNC). I still do my best to be the best mom and wife I can be! I love art museums, the theatre, the zoo, reading, and Cincinnati parks. I'm a foodie and always love trying new places to eat. I hope other moms find either enlightenment or humor from my posts!
