We are happy to announce that our CMB is growing!

Meet Megan:

“I am a lifelong Cincinnatian, minus my college years at Kent State (Go Flashes!) and the four or so years that followed. While I was out roaming around the continental U.S., I met my husband, Dave. We have since settled on the west side, where I grew up. Right now, I wouldn’t want to be raising my family anywhere else. I am truly at home. We have a 2-year-old son, Drew. He is all boy! We would love to add to our family as soon as we get a moment to spare! I have a full-time job that I would say is pretty demanding. While it doesn’t afford me as much family time as I would like, it does help me value the time we do have together. I love decorating our home, bargain shopping, sleeping (ha!), but most of all writing. Please feel free to visit nomamabs.com, read my truths and join the conversation.”

megan3If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
I would start the day by sleeping as late as I want. Then I would get up and get ready to leave the house. I’d stop for iced coffee, then get a mani/pedi with a few ladies I don’t see often. I would also do some shopping for both clothes and household items. I would round out the day with a steak dinner with my husband and cuddle time with my two-year-old son before I put him to bed.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be and why?
I would most definitely be pink! I love pink! I have always loved pink! It will forever be my favorite color. It can be fun and girly, but it also can be classy and feminine. My engagement ring even has two pink stones in it. (My husband knows me well!)

What song would you sing at karaoke night?
I am by no means a singer. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’m tone deaf. So I would want to sing a loud, upbeat song to drown out my own voice! I would probably pick Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do”.

megan2Who would you call for bail money?
I would have to call one of my oldest friends, Hilary. She lives across the country now, so getting the money could be difficult. But I know she would help me without judgment, no questions asked. (Or maybe just a few asked.) On the other hand, she’s also the friend I am most likely to be with when I get arrested!

If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
I think it would say “do not approach before 9 a.m.!”

If you had to eat at one Cincinnati restaurant for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I think it would have to be LaRosa’s. It’s the pizza I grew up eating, and the kind I keep coming back to, no matter what else I try. Plus, I don’t think I’ve had anything else on the menu I didn’t like. My first job was at LaRosa’s. It’s a job I look back on with fond, odd memories.

What is your favorite place to take the kids in Cincinnati?
Is it bad that I’m having a tough time answering this question? Like where do I ever go with my kid besides Kroger and Target? I really enjoy going to pumpkin patches, swimming pools and other seasonal activities. But this category “needs improvement”!

What is your favorite thing about being a mom?megan1
My favorite thing about being a mom is when my little man will suddenly run to me and throw his arms around me. Or when he scoots closer on the couch, insisting on sitting right next to me. I also love when he sees me and starts calling “mama, mama”, even if I’m across the room.

What is your least favorite thing about being a mom?
My least favorite thing about being a mom is when my kid is acting like a tiny terror. And I don’t really know how to stop it. And I know he needs to be stopped, but I don’t want to discipline him or raise my voice because our time together is so precious and fleeting as it is.

Welcome Megan!
