TCT presents Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. at the Taft Theatre this month. Explore the big blue world with this lively new stage musical based on the beloved Pixar film! We got our Crown Club treats when we first walked in. There are signs next to the merchandise table directing to the pick-up for the special goodies club members receive before the show. Remember that Crown Club members and season pass-holders get to stay after the show for autographs. When you are there, make sure to check out the spotlight raffle going on during the performances. Winners are chosen the Sunday after their final show. There are always The BonBonerie Fine Pastries there, which are themed to match the show.
Finding Nemo JR. was a great play! As usual with the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati plays, it was entertaining and well done in every area – music, costumes, set, and story! With the show based around the Finding Nemo story we all love, we enjoyed some classic scenes as well as a few adaptations.
TCT productions are first-class all the way. This is theatre for kids but not by kids! The scenes were colorful and fun, bringing the ocean to life. Littles are sure to love seeing all our favorite fish friends! The cast impressed me with being able to operate the puppets and sing and dance at the same time! My kids enjoyed the play, meeting Dory, and of course, the souvenirs. A light up toy is always a must when we go to the plays! It was so fun to see the Nemo story come to life on stage!
Bringing some younger ones, we just love that it’s a judgement-free zone where kids can learn theatre etiquette in a safe place and get introduced to the theatre early.
