We are so excited to announce the start of 🍓 Strawberry Days with our friends at Blooms & Berries Farm Market👩🌾! The strawberry-themed festival happens daily May 20th through June 4th. ✨Tickets✨ are timed-entry, online only, and going fast {so get yours today!}.
You and your family will enjoy all the festival excitement like the 🍓strawberry bounce pad, 🍓strawberry bakery treats available for purchase, the 🐝bee train, the 🐐petting farm, barnyard 500 trike track, farm games, 🚜market barn shopping, and garden center shopping. Plus, on the weekends (and Memorial Day), the 🍻beer garden is open with local craft beer and wine, and they have live 🎶music and food trucks!
From downtown Cincy, it takes just about 45 minutes to get to Strawberry Days at Blooms & Berries Farm Market out in Loveland. It is a gorgeous, scenic trip that transports you from city to country. Located less than five minutes from historic downtown Loveland, the Strawberry Festival at Blooms & Berries offers the chance to escape the daily grind and get lost in the charm of rural farm life – even if just for a short while! My family and I checked it all out on opening day to help you plan your trip in advance.
There are hours of fun to be had, and the timed ticketing system helps ensure no long lines and no congestion! There are lots of sanitizer stations around to help combat sticky strawberry fingers and keep the germs at bay. There are plenty of portable bathrooms to use if needed while on the farm. And, there are a bunch of benches, picnic tables, and rocking chairs to sit and relax or enjoy a sweet treat or savory bite to eat!
CMC Mom Pro Tip: If you suffer from allergies (like I do!), make sure to take your preferred allergy remedy or medication BEFORE you get there.
Attractions
There is so, so much to do for kids and adults alike. The duck race (strawberry rubber duckies were in play!) is the biggest hit with our girls. The bee train is really great for the smaller ones. The tall barn slide seemed to provide endless fun for kids of all ages and a bunch of the parents (and a couple grandparents!!). The Barnyard 500 Trike Track features varying sizes – and colors – of tricycles for kids to ride around a track with the cutest hand-painted life-size barnyard animals in the center. Right on theme for the festival, a huge strawberry-shaped bounce pad brought a ton of laughter and excitement with it. It’s in the shade – and right down the path from the Beer Garden! I saw more than one dad grab a glass of beer before walking with their families to sit on a covered bench and watch the little ones bounce to their hearts’ content.
The beloved spider web, made of ropes, is still there. Other attractions include farm animals, play areas, outdoor musical instruments, and lots of open space to run! There are also huge strawberry sculptures everywhere (great for family selfies as well!). You can take a short walk out to see the strawberry fields. Every ticket includes 🍓strawberry picking! Strawberries are $4.25/lb. Note that more tickets get released as more berries ripen throughout the season, but the U-Pick experience is just one small part of all that the Strawberry Festival has to offer you and your family for all-day adventures and fun.
Food
ALL THINGS STRAWBERRY!! Outside the market barn shopping, the official Strawberry Days stand is waiting for you. You can choose from classically-made strawberry shakes, strawberry shortcake, strawberry lemonade, strawberry cookies (they’re huge!), strawberry ice cream (or scoops of vanilla, cookies and cream, etc. if you’re not a strawberry fan – how could you not be, though?!), and strawberry pie (or whatever their daily pie is).
If you’re in the mood for some hot food for lunch or dinner, come on a weekend when the food trucks are there. The options should please both adults and kids, the staff is all so incredibly friendly, and the food is served hot and crispy delicious.
If you can catch them, there are buckets of fresh-picked strawberries for sale in the market barn shopping area. Plus, there is a whole “Fresh Strawberries” section in there with jars of strawberry preservers and strawberry relish. You have to try Farmer Jeff’s favorite strawberry poppyseed salad dressing!
The garden center shopping area has more than just strawberry treats – you can find all flavors of fudge, cinnamon rolls, and so much more to satisfy your sweet tooth. There are fun artisan products to take home for your kitchen or garden, and there are plants and flowers galore that are refreshed weekly.
