Cincinnati Fall Photo Destinations

0

FallFall is the absolute perfect time to get amazing photos of your children and family. The colors and light are generally gorgeous… the weather is ideal and those Christmas cards are around the corner. If you ask most Cincinnatians where you should go to get great pictures you will get the standard responses: Ault Park in Hyde Park, Alms Park in Columbia Tusculum or Eden Park in Mt. Adams. Most weekends, you will see some sort of photography happening there. And while they are pretty destinations, they are not my favorites. Especially not this time of year. So, what locations do I suggest? Here they are, in no particular order.

Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum (St. Bernard, OH)

This place has it all with regards to photographic backdrop options. Water, bridges, trees (of all kinds), stone/marble and tons of color!

Highfield Discovery Garden (Glenwood, OH)

Whimsical and fun. The landscape is gorgeous, but there are also some cute little details throughout the park that make great backdrops for children’s photography.

Cincinnati Nature Center (Milford, OH)

If you want Fall leaves… you will get that here, in spades. Pictures in the Playscape and on some of the many bridges are super fun too.

George Rogers Clark Park (Covington, KY)

This park is small, but the neighborhood is historic and gorgeous. This setting gives you texture (think brick and stone) as well as an unparallelled view of downtown Cincinnati.

The Black Covered Bridge (Oxford, OH)

I have it on good faith that the Miami Western campus is a great photo location for the Fall. However, I also had a great time taking pictures at this bridge, which is near the campus as well.

Sarah
I am Mom to two beautiful, sassy little girls; Nora & Meredith. It was only after becoming a mother that I really started to appreciate how lucky we are to live in this Southwest Ohio, surrounded by amazing green space, culture, history, sports, and the arts. I love using all aspects of Cincinnati (Dayton and NKY too if I am being honest) as a playground for my kids and myself. I often drag my friends and family from the East side to the West side in search of another new and exciting adventure.
